This course is a two credit hour course. Seniors or graduate level students interested in molecular medical mycology are encouraged to participate in this class. Students are preferred to have basic knowledge of mycology and molecular genetics. The course is designed as a journal discussion class and brief introduction will be given in each topic. The contents covered are listed as below. All students are required to read the assigned papers before each class and are expected to participate in the class discussion. One laboratory demonstration related to C. neoformans researches is also included in the class. The grade will be determined by the mid-term examination, homeworks, reports and class room participation.
